    :D who knows..... lol
i guess its sadder if it was a trainer...
correct me if im wrong ( i use this section to learn what not to do), but on a container, its the same as general freight? 4 points of attachment. chain to all 4 UPPER corners?

    Feedman Thanks this.

I’m curious as well. The one time I hauled a container it was a short one (24’?) that was empty. I think I threw four straps over it, and rolled out.

Here's one for y'all, and no, not me....i'm the incab Mack. I'm glad the 'cops' escorted him since nobody else was; I had to drop in behind the caravan, turning right. I sure didn't wanna be behind THAT guy. I know NOTHING about flatbedding but a few Lennils/Jersey barriers I hauled offseason about 5 years back and even THAT didn't go well for me... but this guy.. THIS GUY.. just wow.

Yep. Had my head spinning for quite a time. I was gonna go out of route had the cops not 'escorted' him. Sure wasn't driving behind THAT mess.

    PoleCrusher and Gumper Thank this.

Containers if I’m not mistaken have their own way of being secured( there may be a section in the book dedicated to container securement). But it depends on if it’s empty or loaded... I think you used to have to chain to upper but that went out the window a long time ago...

When I haul em on my flat that’s how I do em loaded or empty. I’ll say this whether it’s loaded or empty I’d put more than a chain on front and rear bottom. I believe most guys would do the same

Can I ask a stupid question? What kind of flat do you use for that? I'm no flatbedder (neither is the guy in the pic I posted above) but I've never hauled containers.

Correct way to haul cans on a flatbed is 4 chains 4 rachets.
    Cross at front and back.
If the arch on your trailer is too much, put wood under the bottom corners.
