If you drive through say... Oklahoma or an oil lease road, it won’t be the sliding so much as the bouncing your head off the ceiling...

Still shows current in the link I provided above. I still think it's the best way regardless of what DOT says.

You’re entitled to your opinion but it was in fact repealed in 06.

How about some new on topic stuff? Saw an ABF stepdeck with a upack container on it. It was loaded against the step with only two 4" straps pulling straight down on the back of it. I was driving so no pictures.

One more observation from an innocent by-stander; shouldn't the load be centered?
If it's loaded to one side, and moves inward on the deck - all securement goes slack.

And also, what's holding the dunnage to the trailer? Load shifts - and that's a missile?

Plus one (+1) for the chain and binder around everything, too.
I'd rather have it gripped together than picking it on the side of the road.

That’s your prerogative it’s probably a good idea, you have to be careful phrasing it as a rule or chastising those who don’t do it.

Boycott rub rails. :D They just get in the way or get damaged requiring downtime to fix.
