It always cracks me up when I see a truck with those silly wheel covers on one drive axle but not the other.

    Nostalgic Thanks this.

Looks to me like he dropped it, either from a bad hookup or somebody unlatched his fifth wheel.

Reminds me of that flatbed with a load of lumber trying to turn around near a fuel island. He turned sharp and the load just leaned over and turned the truck over. "rollover at the fuel island".

I can't find the thread it was in. :( it needs a bump if someone remembers it.

Definitely a moving drop during a turn. You can see how torqued the landing gear is, and a short skid mark behind the pad its on. The neck fell onto the frame and tried to fall off the driver side but is tangled up in the tire. And the load is shifted from it.

Even western express doesnt miss the pin by 6ft.

Saw a dry van buckled right in the middle the other day (early last week I think)... It was on I-80 Westbound... West of Des Moines, IA... But closer to Omaha than Des Moines. Big long skids down the asphalt from where the frame drug, 2 cops, fire truck, tow truck, and a bunch of the guys load was scattered up and down the road.

Last year i saw a dry van and cargo that had burned the trailer in half, being dismantled right there on the shoulder by an excavator with a thumb and loaded into dump trucks. Still hitched up, just ripping it apart like a building demo. I-40wb halfway up black mountain in nc.

I watched for several weeks this spring as loaders scooped up the carnage from that big pile up on I-80 in WY... Each week mire debris would surface as the snow melted away. Took nearly 2 months before there wasnt actually piles of it sitting beside the road.

Dang. I saw one last week too that was wrinkled in the middle too like it was hit from behind. I have seen a ton of damaged trucks and trailers lately.

Ok. But I still don't understand how the trailer came apart during the turn? Is this operator error, mechanical defects, something overlooked?
I was much happier when I didn't know this was possible....
