They definitely backed up some but I think that was just to get the trailer back a little bit.

I can’t tel for sure but that maybe an a train set and it is too long to fit in a standard size spot. I park this way quite often but usually in 3-4 spots because all the 5 axle freight haulers have taken every inch of curb parking so as not to have to walk farther or back up

It was an a-train hay hauling setup. The 13 axle parked down the line next to me didn’t have any issues. The back of his pup was about 30’ from the curb.

That flying j in Rapid city, SD has to have the widest spaces I’ve ever seen. A few 16’ trailer houses were parked in one space!

Just a guess based on the picture - I just know what o have to do to reduce my length when I park my big trailer in a conventional parking spot.

I had to give some advice on vehicle securement to this driver. He was fixing it when I left after lunch, so at least he took the advice.

If I see somebody pissing in the parking lot of parking at the fuel island for lunch I'll get mean, but if I see an honest mistake I'll come up with a smile and offer them some advice. I'm sure he was glad I had a method to keep all but one of his chains hooked up too. Let him know about the binder loop method I've seen used on many military vehicle loads. Just grab the chain through the loop and hook it back to itself.

For some reason I don’t like seeing binders used like that.

    Wasted Thyme Thanks this.
