Put it this way............before the new rules (the old rules were similiar to present US rules) a truck losing it's load was a daily event.
Every day you would hear on the radio this highway ,that offramp,.............is closed.
Since the new rules, you hardly hear any off those things.
The proof off the pudding is in the eating.

That just tells me there is to many idiots driving a flatbed truck . It should never even come to that point of u having to mash on the breaks with a load like that.

bigguns, 650cat425 and Kyle G. Thank this.

Devil's advocate. How many times do 4wheelers cut in front of drivers and cause a need to hit the breaks or risk hitting the moroon. Plenty.

It is not that hard to anticipate what 4 wheelers are gonna do. That is what mirrors are for.. Also there is a big difference between getting cut off on a highway and getting cut off on a side street right before a stoplight. Both situations should be compensated for differently. But to many guys drive right up peoples ### all day long and wonder why their freight comes knocking at the sleeper door....

A strip wrapper is used when any type of liner load (pipe/logs) are bunked. Here's one type for pipe.

Another type would be on a logger. You put an extra wrapper/binder underneath the "bunk" & over the load so it binds the load to the bunk. That way it won't strip the load off the bunk.

Sometimes terminology gets confusing. But in these neck of the woods. A belly strap is a guy wrap. A load securment that wraps all the way around a load but doesn't attach to the truck. So no not a belly/gut strap.

I always called those belly wraps. If it wraps around and attachs to trailer, i called it a choker strap. If it is straps on multiple tiers i called it a belly/ gut strap.

bigguns, clausland, 650cat425 and 6 others Thank this.
