Do you think he’s getting double the rate to haul two loads at once? Doubt it. Two tanks on a stretch RGN B5902B16-333A-4456-99A6-2FC6FF2E8F6A.jpeg

    Which state?
There are states where you can haul 2 seperate oversize tanks legally.

Start looking at the 11min45 mark

    State is Montana

They haul multiple oversize tanks all the time in KS. There’s a place in Garden City that makes them and you see their trucks hauling 2 or 3 a lot.

Arkansas is where I saw him. Two tanks in the stretched well of a double drop is different then two tanks on a b train. Like you said, it depends on the state, that b-train set up wouldn't be legal in Arkansas either.

I’m willing to be their trailers are under 59’, which is the legal limit in Kansas.

I should have mentioned this is the first post, I always say I can read his permit from my truck. Maybe he asked for and was granted an exception for that load. I know some guys were hauling twenty foot wide pipes standing on end 2 at a time on a stretch double drop. They were granted an exemption for permitting a divisible load. It was a large project and cut the number of trips in half therefor reducing the impact on traffic. They were running with state police escorts so I would say it was legit.

All that being said, I’d still bet that load wasn’t going through a scale and there might of been some fibbing on the permit.

In KS today. Can’t tell how much his trailer is stretched.

If he’s a 48’ I’d say he’s way under the 11’ required to be over length. Here’s a 48’ stretched 10’. Compare the gap between the decks 80EA3FC4-D948-4581-B333-4EE387ADC536.jpeg
