Was delivering some specialty electrodes to a small custom foundry. Latrobe, PA. Tight little place. Pulled up to the gate and trailer was still around the corner.
Get in and set up for unload. Talking to fork lift driver.
I ask him if they get a lot of big trucks in the place, that it was really tight for a road truck and trailer. He says “ we get trucks in here every day” “sometimes we have 3 or 4’in here at one time”. Me a bit surprised by that said, wow, that must be a real crowded situation then. He says, no not bad really, we have the room for them. I asked are we talking about trucks like this, a Sleeper road truck and trailer? He turns around and points to a short day cab and a pup trailer, well yeah, that’s what we get. I asked so how often do trucks like this one, pointing to my truck, come here.
“ maybe once a month or so, not very often”

It does have 4 chains, but they were likely undersized so he thought straps would even it out. Pretty dumb.
