Hey, atleast his load was still on the trailer. That accounts for something.

 

Seen this guy tonight. 3 bundles high and all the straps right over the top. Already got one sneaking out the back and only 3 straps per.

Edit: there is a 4th useless strap on the rear as pointed out by another poster.

 

He has four straps over the back stack. 3 straps per stack is perfectly legal. Probably should have some gut straps.

 

Have a difficult time thinking the shipper let it off the property like that.

 

That is the law. If it is over 2 layers high it must have layered straps. All of those straps over the top don't help out the bottom two layers very much.

 

And when pipes are stacked that high without belly straps, the more you tighten them, the looser they can become. It can get ugly real quick

 

Yeah, I don't know if you can tell from the pics, but the wood on the bottom layer was bowing pretty bad. Prolly going to snap soon....and that sucks!

 

Can you back that up with an applicable regulation?
