I knew exactly where it would go, obviously. What I didn't know was I was going to have spend half a clock in a field driving back and forth in a field as workers on the trailer took piece by piece off. The other times I had done it they unloaded it with a lift in one spot.

Oh my... My opinion on this load just slipped down a few more pegs after seeing it from these angles. And is that a canadian flag on the side of that volvo? Not that there’s anything wrong with that...

Contrary to many people's opinions here, i dont hate that strap job, probably would have taken 2 x 2 inch straps and essentially unitized all the pipe into its own bundle though.

Dont love it. But looks like a competent strap job.

On the other hand we have this gem from columbus oh yesterday. Spot the issue....

Yes. And I asked him what the tires were for and he replied, " Yes."

I said so are those custom dunnage or part of the load?

    Reply,"Yes."

So he spoke and understood English.

Good idea, that would certainly make a big difference. I’d be curious to hear any tricks on the best way to hook a strap to itself. It seems like just hooking the hooks together wouldn’t be acceptable?

God prefers Diesels, D.Tibbitt and cke Thank this.

Nah, flat hook to flat hook works fine, extra strap looped through handle then bungeed to the hook connection (and around it if possible) wont come loose, electrical or duct tape if you're paranoid about it

Also, try and have the connection be on top so that gravity helps keep the ratchet where it is, not on the side or bottom.

Are we talking about The fact that there’s no straps on the front stack?

Unsure if pic quality is obscuring the fact that ALL the straps are the cinch clips and 1" (you know, 250-500 lb wll) and most arent connected to trailer

    Cinch clip attachment
