While I've only read the last 7 pages of this thread, great discussions, pics, and head shakers abound. Regularly I see loads that make me cringe, in the bed of pickups as well as on trailers.
Was following a pickup that shed its load of patio furniture onto the hwy. I couldn't avoid all of it, ran over at least the umbrella and a couple chairs. Amazingly, only damage I found after was a small bumper scratch, and some marks on the under side, where more than anything else, it wiped the dirt off stuff. Glad the patio furniture was poorly made. Growing up around trucks, and a strict dad who taught me to always do a job right, if anything my loads are excessively tied down.
