Fishing ain’t worth the headache that is traffic down here... probably doesn’t help that the major road through town is under construction... but still.

I’ll take a lake with a quaint view of some mountains any day over this overpopulated humidity mosquito polluted state.

I don't recall ever having met a southerner that came up here n stayed. Much less ever said anything like they love it lol

 

Get yourself an ultralight rod and tackle. You might change your mind.

My favorite fishing is hiking to high alpine lakes in the Cascades or Sierra Nevada and shore fishing with a fly rod. You only cast where you can see the fish in the crystal clear water. There's no wasted time casting where they ain't.

 

The water here is just as clear. We call it sight fishing. Its great for snook and smaller tarpon up under the mangroves.

And ya, i got an ultra light set up i bought specifically for large mouth bass. It's the only way to get any fun out of such a small fish.

I checked that story, and it is false. The man in the picture however did get busted for sticking things where they don’t belong in a peacock. I’m not sure which is more strange and f’d up.
