Did you really report my comment on your condescending remarks, as a condescending remark? You must be kidding. You need to be reined in. Here's specific references, video and pictures from industry people, other than yourself. Feel free to educate yourself, instead of making self-aggrandizing remarks to people with actual knowledge.

Thanks, those are some of what I was referring to, but couldn't find, but also found more in my other post responding to him, since I wasn't able to modify my first one because someone cried to mama.
In addition, mine also never moved. I followed the regulations. :) I also agree, most people don't go from the top, but as you show, on a double-drop, they aren't as high as on a flatbed. :)

Guys, that’s quite enough with the insults please. You all are too intelligent to stoop to such things.

@CAXPT I’m not in the habit of divulging to the community who reports a post, but I can say that @REALITY098765 has most certainly not reported any posts from this thread.

As to my personal feelings on the subject at hand, I’m with @kylefitzy. I don’t like those straps to the corners pulling along the sides at all, and I think he’s 100% right with his statement about resistance to side force.

Well, I'm not shy, so you can report what you want, but since I wasn't aware of who was blocking me modifying my reponse to his challenge, it didn't hurt to call it out to find out who thought I was inappropriate.
As for @kylefitzy statement, I'm not sure what you're referring to, as I agreed with him, but he was pointing out, from my interpretation of his statement, that the side chains weakness was it could be easily moved side to side since there was nothing holding the base down, and we were in agreement. What did you think he was saying that made you think that I didn't agree with him?
Oh, apologies to @REALITY098765, as my complaints about your posts provided needed information. :)

All depends on if loaded or empty, on a chassis or other vehicle, like a flatbed. Each have different requirements.

Here’s one, you can have up to 5 feet of overhang with empty containers. No overhang when loaded.

Forgot this part. The front 8ft unit is actually fine. The back unit is the one that’s problematic. The straps are at an angle greater/less than 45 degrees. They are more like a 60/30 triangle. This really provides little or no down force.

If you were trying to edit a post it was probably past the time in which you’re allowed to, which I believe is an hour.

Nothing, I was just weighing in on the general subject matter based on my own experience, long past though it may be. :yes2557:

Sometimes you have to say to hell with regs and use a little common sense.

30° makes downforce 50% of tension. So you're losing half.

Actually it wasn't and so I posted follow up after it on that off chance, and then tried to edit them as well, and it said I should message a moderator....so...that's what the message said. Just sayin'. I will say, it could have been anything though, so it's water under the darn. (<--notice side stepping curse-o-meter.) :)
    :banghead:

On your opinion, okay. I just thought the way you put that in, that you thought my perspective compared to his was different....but if we're in agreement then that was due to my misinterpretation. :dontknow:
