That appears excellent. Out here they're 2 wide on the deck and a single on top in the middle with just a hope and prayer keeping them on. Occasionally will see one in the ditch/roadway but AG is exempt from safety because farming is dangerous, or there are dangerous farmers....something like that.

I have to confess for today. I parked in NJ otw and was going to CT to unload five bobcats today. I had two tarps in front of the trailer, tied very good with a wrench strap that had hold them almost 1,500 miles before today. So I did my PTI in the morning, checked the chains, glanced at the tarps (my bad) and was out. After I crossed George Washington Bridge and was on i95 maybe thirty miles on it a sudden bang, like a tire explosion happened. The truck and the trailer jumped and I saw something like a tread in my mirror. A tire I thought to myself. You all probably know that freaking bridge and the horrible not stopping bumpy part of the interstate. I pulled off, got out, checked the tires - all good. Only after a few minutes I realized to check the tarps and one of them was missing, of course. So I've still been feeling really bad and ashamed for what happened. I am kind of happy it didn't fly off the trailer into someone's windshield and I hope other drivers were able to maneuver. I walked a few minutes back but there was an exit and no way for me to make a run into highway anyways. Even if I could make it back. I absolutely didn't plan to meet unexpected $500 expense, feel so angry at the quality of the "highways" and yet really hope it didn't cause any accident. What would you do in my place?

P.s what was surprisingly is that the other tarp remained at the place and secured pretty tight, meaning they were both tied really well.

Wow that sucks. I drove over a tarp at night in the middle of the road. Saw it too late. It was still rolled tight. Let me tell you when I hit it, it felt like I I drove over a land mine and was going to die lol.

Who and why teaches drivers to throw hooks at strapping? A guy parked five feet away from me today. I came from the other side just to get a hook whistle a few inches from my face. The guy came by smiling said "sorry, but I glad you havethe helmet on" . I asked him how long had he been doing this and he said "definitely longer than you". Wtf do these folks do? So he added he was too lazy too roll the straps. He even started teaching me what was easier to throw "a needle or the thread". Really?

It would be a temptation. Maybe look around real quick and make sure nobody is watching and then he could fall down a couple of times. Problem is, a guy like that would probably call the cops.
