This what my guess. I bet he forgot to set the brakes when he pulled in to the fuel island.
I actually saved a row of trucks at a Flying J last early this year from being smashed by a rolling Cascadia with a loaded reefer. The driver forgot to set the brakes and I saw it rolling past the fuel island and headed for a couple of W900's and some nice looking 389's. The driver was about 50 feet behind me running for his truck. I just happen to get there sooner and jumped on to the step and opened the door and hit the brakes. I got this guys truck stopped about 20 feet away from all of the "hoods" that were parked across the fuel island. Crazy happens at the fuel island.

The fact that the knee braces are 4ft or more apart and do not support the outside rail properly for a concentrated load means nothing. -

So not sure if this belongs here or not. Wife snapped this on I80 today. Stepdeck with 2 4’x4’ by about 7’ tall containers labeled with hazardous when wet blue placards. Two placards on each container side facing rear wards two placards on outward facing sides but way up top where container slants in so not very visible from ground level. Front facing sides I didn’t get a good look at. NO PLACARDS anywhere on trailer or tractor. So does he belong in the haul of shame or is he legal and I’m not hip to transporting placarded vessels on an open deck. Only two placards readily visible were the two facing rear wards as seen in the picture. Volvo power by the way

Well, this guy started his day off on the wrong foot. He tried to go through the fuel island at an angle and he popped both outside trailer tires and bent the HE-double hockey sticks out of the front wheel. He hit the concrete barrier at the exit of the pumps like where the yellow water faucets are located at Love's.
I heard the boom made by the sound of the air escaping and it was loud. A driver walking across the parking lot ducked when the tires went boom. When I was talking to the driver who made the boo-boo he said he was a new driver and that he didn't know that he couldn't go through at an angle. He was ####ed 35° to the left. He was so far left of center I couldn't pull straight up in my lane.Last edited: Jan 6, 2024
