All those bungies and duck tape, and darn your luck, the rock still hit the window!

 

The number of windshields that we've replaced over the past several years is way farther from zero than I'd like, lol.

 

One customer made this pads to protect the windshield in transit.

 

When hauling crane cabs, like the one in the picture, we had pads and tarps that were required. Covered all glass.

 

Two thoughts...

That's a stout crane for a truck mount

&

Tire shop: "What size tire do you need"

Crane: "Yes"

 

Used to haul the various parts for these into various assembly plants.

 

We do the same.

 

If I hauled more equipment that would be a worthwhile investment. Lucky almost all of our trailers have decks over the rear axles.

 

After about the fourth $450 windshield, a call to Tri City Canvas was in order!

 

Neighbor had one of the side windows fall out and land on a car $$$$
Duct tapes them now.
