First thing I thought 2, seeing the aftermath firsthand and sitting at the stop light for a couple minutes waiting for vehicles to get out of my way to make my turn, I can say its the hotshot, I was more thinking about the frame buckling in half than anything when I was sitting there though. I will give him credit for securing the vehicles though, most of those hotshot guys woulda lost cargo on that hit to

Wow, do any of you OS guys actually run like this? Where you tell your escort to just completely block all traffic from passing for no reason? Then the escort blocks the lane so the OS can pass people in the hammer lane? Why is he going so fast? Don't think I've ever seen anything like it. What do you all think?
Skip ahead to about the 8 minute mark to get past all the yacking.

I’m pulling a 3.3 million dollar airplane wing that’s 16 wide and on a 70’ trailer. Longer and as wide but much lower then his boat. we tend to stay “2 and the shoulder” when there’s only two lanes. We will center up through major cities or if there is something on the shoulder or a skinny bridge. Personally if there’s three or more lanes, I’m centered on the right two. Even if the left lane is truck restricted, y’all can figure it out if you want to pass. Most just ease on by in the left lane, occasionally drivers try to drive through me in the middle lane.
as for passing, generally anyone slower is getting passed if we have enough room to keep the load on our side of the zipper. I used to regularly pass people at 19’6” wide with 7’ hanging off the right. We have schedules to keep just like everyone else.FerrissWheel, CAXPT, beastr123 and 6 others Thank this. -
Also worth noting the escort driver and the truck driver are both big youtube stars, so maybe they are just trying to be dramatic for more likes, or whatever.FerrissWheel, Bud A., CAXPT and 4 others Thank this. -
I've also passed plenty of slower fleet trucks while running os/ow. If it's safe and allowed by the permit I'm usually running the speed limit which means passing a bunch of governed fleet trucks.
These guys are just hanging in the left lane for miles at a time passing nothing. Also the guy doing rear escort is doing a #### job. People keep trying to pass him because they see the big gap between him and the load and think they can dodge through it. He needs to get closer to the back of the load when they aren't in the same lane. If he closes that gap they won't constantly try to go around him. When they go back to being in the same lane then he can back off to save his windshield from rocks.
Like Kyle said above. On 2 lanes in the middle of nowhere just keep right unless actively passing or avoid something on the shoulder. In cities or places with a lot of ramps I'll straddle 2 lanes to keep people from getting close.
On 2 lanes I will usually have the chase sit in the left lane at all times and then when something comes up behind them they ask if it's safe for traffic to pass. A good chase won't have to be told to do that. Being in the left lane they can also see ahead of the load and other traffic in the right lane.FerrissWheel, Bud A., CAXPT and 5 others Thank this. -

Sorry if you're pulling that big load, you need to be charging enough money to compensate for the extra time it takes, so that you don't have to drive and act like an ignorant a-hole.
I think trying to be dramatic for more likes certainly backfired, seems like 90% of the comments in the video all pretty much are calling them douche bags. I completely agree.FerrissWheel, Bud A., CAXPT and 4 others Thank this. -

He addresses all the hateful comments in part two, and defends their actions by saying how valuable the load is, and how they have to drive like that to protect their million dollar load, or something. LOL, just a bunch of youtube drama.
By the way, part two ends with them getting shut down at a scale, so we'll see what happens in part three.FerrissWheel, cke, Bud A. and 4 others Thank this.
