    Not identifying the company, yet.
I do know that it was the owner of the tow company driving. The machine was owned by the landscape company that is also owned by the same person. He was hauling his own equipment.

Not sure. The UHP I spoke with said they looked up the numbers on the machine. Said it was 22k lbs. as equipped. He said the tow truck was rated for the weight, 4 axles. So it was something they got interested in knowing.

This incident happened not far from the house. Was actually coming back from the store when a couple of sheriffs and UHP came by me at high rates of speed, full lights and sirens.

Somebody needs to be facing negligent homicide and vehicular manslaughter charges at a minimum.

Running around with a dozer on a rollback and not bothering to add one iota of securement is not only ridiculous, but criminal IMHO.

Should have put another coil over the rear axle to keep it down.

I’ve never hauled coils, but isn’t he a bit heavy?

I laughed at this comment, then I looked closer and it looks like he actually had dunnage there! Maybe that coil fell off or rolled forward??? :dontknow:
