I can't ever remember having to back up anywhere, our planners were always on the ball and thorough with such things as widths and corners. On a different scale but still important, when I was transport manager for 11 years, I advised our company on the planning of the road around a new factory. I was helped with such things as corners etc by designs in a book (this was before computers were in common use) which could be overlaid on the proposed plan of the building. This was not a transport company, but a multi-national manufacturer and thus they paid no thought to transport and its problems, to them lorries arrived, shifted goods, and then disappeared.

Iowa is quick to put stuff on Facebook when a truck screws up, I wonder if this will show up when it was one of their own that probably screwed up the routing. He said there was a pilot car and a state DOT pickup parked on the east side of the bridge and a highway patrol car behind the truck and everyone was standing by the cop car flipping thru a bunch of papers when he went by.CAXPT, Deere hunter, nikmirbre and 6 others Thank this. -
Depends. But 43k is a pretty general size. Big singles up to 60, 70k anymore. And they don't pay what they should. I'd haul two 40's before one 50. -
