New York sent us through about 7 miles of 12’ wide construction with 16’ wides last week. Of course the construction ended right were we always get off and there wasn’t a single worker to be seen the whole way.

I can't ever remember having to back up anywhere, our planners were always on the ball and thorough with such things as widths and corners. On a different scale but still important, when I was transport manager for 11 years, I advised our company on the planning of the road around a new factory. I was helped with such things as corners etc by designs in a book (this was before computers were in common use) which could be overlaid on the proposed plan of the building. This was not a transport company, but a multi-national manufacturer and thus they paid no thought to transport and its problems, to them lorries arrived, shifted goods, and then disappeared.

Eastbound I-80 outside of Council Bluffs. They’re working on a pair of bridges and have a 10ft width limit.

Iowa is quick to put stuff on Facebook when a truck screws up, I wonder if this will show up when it was one of their own that probably screwed up the routing. He said there was a pilot car and a state DOT pickup parked on the east side of the bridge and a highway patrol car behind the truck and everyone was standing by the cop car flipping thru a bunch of papers when he went by.

Depends. But 43k is a pretty general size. Big singles up to 60, 70k anymore. And they don't pay what they should. I'd haul two 40's before one 50.

There is a penetrating die they can use and some shops/builders do use. I have no experience with it. However it would be pointless to do the complete trailer. These problems are mostly found visually. So it is possible. But besides manufacturing RD, or high-end repair facilities. I'd see it unless. They do some very extensive testing on tankers or bottle trailers. But my info is limited also.

But they hydro, and crack test the whole bottle. I've seen bottles from the 40's still in service.
