Interesting operation. These are real and real heavy rocks, not cheap plastic knockoffs. I caught this today. Never seen that before, seems dangerous.

Does to me too. I remember some years ago while I was playing petanque with friends several of such loads passed us completely without restraint over the course of a few days. I remarked my horror at the sight but one of the players remarked 'oh they'll not move, not at that weight'. I told him that, quite apart form one sudden stop, even at low speed, which would send them rolling over the cab and down the road, it is absolutely illegal in the EU to rely on weight alone to secure any loads.

Ah but you had a stepframe, rocks don't roll uphill easily, ask Sisyphus. ;)

I would never have that much weight in front of the landing gear without a tractor hooked to it!

2 chains over the one in front and 3 over the one in back. Nothing wrong here.

Only questionable part is dropping the trailer with that much weight unsupported in front of the landing gear. Kind hard on the thinnest part of the frame.

Maybe it has been dropped for later unloading, hope the machine driver who comes to do so, doesn't pick the back one first.
