I just met a guy the other day that buys machinery all over the world. Ships it to wherever it's selling best. I thought maybe I could get a few loads out of him. He said I will just be honest with you upfront, I use the cheapest people I can find. He has a broker in Atlanta that will put his machinery on anybody as long as they're cheap cheap. He had a D6 cat come in the other day with only straps on it not one chain. I didn't ask him, but I'll bet it came in on a step deck. He said everybody has insurance if it falls off the truck so be it I just want cheap.

 

This is why Amazon & Walmart thrives , cheap cheap cheap most everything is throw away . I have a friend with a 1937 GE refrigerator still runs , still has the sulfer dioxide coolant , i believe thats whats in it , it original. Keeps his beer ice cold .

 

I don't think that wood can do that. If it was a warping issue each board would go its own way. I've seen plenty of warping boards on a trailer and none of them have skewed the trailer.

 

Yes i know , it just looked funny and the thought ran across my 3 brain cells .

Not only that how many times have you seen hotshots load 90% of the freight on the trailer nothing on the truck. First time they hit a slick spot that sucker is going to jackknife specially in the winter.
