Does anyone have photos of jersey barriers falling off of flat beds?

Wonder what it is. Pretty big crate. Sure did stop quick.

As to the other truck, clearly hauling something similar, would you stop close by.

As they're running together, my guess #2 knew #1 was a yahoo, and didn't want any part of what was coming. If it had been something out of the driver's control, he'd have been more likely to stop.

Single screw pulling a tri axle? Is that allowed in europe? Over here you'd get busted for that.

If you translate 'single screw' (I'm not American;-)) I'll tell you. If it means a 2 axle tractor then yes, that is normal here. 3 axles are unusual and double drive even more so, usually reserved for heavy haulage operations. If not and I have misunderstood I'll try again once put right. :)

Edit: Mostly in the UK a 3rd axle, single wheels and sometimes a lifter, is used to make a better weight distribution, but they don't seem to be so common on the mainland. The firm I used to work for just up the road has a full fleet of 2 axle tractors pulling tri trailers, all of them.

I've made the mistake of running with somebody who loaded with me and was going to the same place. It cost me because my pilots got complacent and weren't paying attention because the guy in front was clearing stuff. I no longer run with anybody unless I know them well or they work for the same company. Even for the same company I'll usually only do it if I'm running the lead. If the other driver wants to be in front I'll just give them a 30min head start or drag my feet when rolling to let them get away.

I've never understood wanting to run together. Invariably one guy is ready to start/stop before the other and everyone ends up running less efficient.

When I was coaching and we were doing road trips in 15 passenger vans the rule was "if one guy gets pulled over everyone else continues to the next exit", no sense in complicating the traffic stop. In this case, I doubt the second driver wanted to catch any heat. Driver #1 was obviously ok, nothing Driver #2 could do to help so why invite scrutiny?

Wow you and me both. Seems like when I had my truck there was always someone wanting to run together. I was like that’s why I drive truck. I like to be on my own. The same reason I’d never team drive.
