You ever work any of the Jiff setups like Roadway had?

 

Never actually worked with them in terms of putting them together and breaking them apart but R&L had them when I first started there. The had gotten several citations as the holes for the pins were getting ovaled out and stopped using them over the road. The tractors and dollies were very distinctive from normal equipment and there was a few that were put together and used as yard horses. Quite ingenious in my opinion. Roadway and Overnite both used them. R&Ls were secondhand I believe but not sure where they came from. The dollies had long thin necks on them

 

I never seen a R+L with one. But I disliked getting a Roadway service call on one. What a greasy pile of junk. Course that was most of Roadway equipment. Only thing that had grease on it in the fleet.

 

Yeah mmhmm. And at the front it looks like we have a new Freightliner Cascadia and we all know who drives those.

 

There is a lots going on here.
