Supersacks are better. Alot of them can be dumped out of the bottom if need be.

We put sand in super sacks for the pipe crews, it’s saved us a LOT of money.

I used to work at a place that would put 1 ton of sand or gravel In plastic reusable Gaylord’s. We used them to deliver base rock when we delivered flagstone to job sites. We would just flip them over with the forklift to empty them. It worked well but the pastic only held up for about ten times. Now they use super sacks. Most customers just cut them open with a razor knife.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

    Philippines,Indonesia,..........quite common in that area.
Labour is cheap there so unloading is easy.
    The driver will not sweat.

Not necessarily a “shame” I guess but some things amaze me. Keen delivered a Volvo 480 to our jobsite today, said he was 14’4” high. Problem is he had over 18” clearance under the tracks and a 6 by under the dogbone. Why would you want to haul it that way?

I hauled some sand in super sacks from a beach in CA to a rest area on I-70 in CO. Boggles the mind why it's feasible to ship sand that far.

Took me a minute figure out what you were referring to, now that I have.... good question.

Seems he would have wanted it lower instead of higher, or am I wrong?
