Hehe, Sorry about that. I was at one time heading to be in Media, so did a lot of newspaper work (when it was media, people actually used) so I've always had that copy reading thing going, which sated my OCD, but made me seem like an overeducated 'deek', correcting others and it drives my wife mad.

I can't drive her away, so she must like it.

I can’t tell if this guy is serious or being sarcastic and really thinks he “BROKE “ his chain. He doesn’t know he’s missing a few pieces?

if it’s sarcasm I’ll give him a pass. How as a flatbedder open deck guy do you not have a few pins and cotter keys extra n your box?

I've seen a few of his videos. Seems like a nice enough guy with good intentions, but I don't think this was sarcasm.

I learned through experience to keep a few extra pins in my box. I have even improvised with a nail in place of a cotter key to get me by.

Of course, in those days I worked for a bunch of idiots, so if I felt like being a smarty pants I could just go to the store and gift myself with a new chain or ten.

 

I agree. He’s popped up on my you tube feed and you’re correct he seems to be trying to learn so good on him for that. Just seems he’s kind of like the toddler that wants to carry the newborn. So not too hard on him but there are issues with his securement of that rebar also
