Nope lol. He’s hauling what we call a neck breaker or Drott. If you spend much time on one of those you’ll understand why we call them neck breakers lol.

Cranes I looked at are swing cabs.

It’s my experience with some of this older equipment that the parking brakes don’t always hold 100% as they should. If a situation arises where he has to choose between that crane coming up in the cab with him, or the looking at the eyes of that innocent child he’s about to run over, I hope he puts it in the ditch….

Most have factory anchor points to secure them for transport.

But, this is most likely another glorious broker load that the broker has no clue what the hell he’s trying to get moved, only concerned with getting the cheapest bidder to move it…..

Sad thing is; he’ll get the bypass at every scale. The dot is either ignorant of their own rules or they don’t give a ####. Probably a bit of both. You guys are the only ones that care. Probably because it affects your pocket book. The broker, and the government and the customer couldn’t give two ####s.

Been my experience over the years that you can’t hardly find 2 dot from separate areas, that will look at things the same way. Kinda odd since they are supposedly using the same play book. I’ve had some look at things as a personal preference instead of by law, may sound crazy but I’ve experienced that….

But if they can't see all of a reflective sheet - for sure a safety violation and you're getting points you menace!

Or God forbid you leave a mark on a rubber airline while you're working on something else. The fact you can't make the line touch anything else without pulling it apart is irrelevant, "you got a chafed air line, driver!"

Only bureaucracies think you can train someone with zero mechanical aptitude to be an effective inspector.

Okay, I see the difference now. That name Bantam caught my attention and I thought it was the same..different name, same B, and your messages with the pics were so far back, I wasn't going to scroll all the way back to check. My bad. :)
I kind of know what you mean about neck breaker. I used to operate an Arrow breaker like this one, and it might even be the same one that was sold. :)

I realize that probably was a much rougher ride, but I get your drift. I just hadn't noticed the swing cab in your pictures, either.

Yea these neck breakers have a stationary cab, only the boom rotates, so you’re trying to look left or right to see your load…..
