No one would take pictures of your operation.. I'm not down there to do it. :)

Agreed. I've had loads where I ran out of straps and had to improvise to make it barely legal and get it down the road. That's when I bought my own straps and ratchet binders in addition to the company's securement so I did not run into that situation again.

Always peeved me when the company knows what they issued me, but sends me on loads they didn't provide me with securement to deal with it. I lost a load out of Florida once because they sent me down to pick up some tranformers. I've done transformers before, but these ones.....had tie down points that were too small to get hook or chain into or around and you couldn't strap it. They needed chain shackles to connect to the transformer anchor points to hook a chain into. Sat for a weekend because of it and I ended up buying those, too. :(

Used 18 of 20 winches on this one. Reclaimed lumber from an old grain elevator in north Idaho. Ugly units, not square on the ends. But nothing fell off the trailer and I made it to Missoula at 113k gross. I did have that one bundle up top toward the back with only one strap but that happens sometimes with fixed winches I suppose.

Comparing one piece to a load vinyl fencing to show your “standards”, not exactly an apples to apples comparison. The stuff you’re whining about is menial at best. If the X straps are touching the forward units the others won’t slide because the dunnage on the forward units are bracing the others ones against forward movement. And the long lumber on the top bundles are nailed on, bracing them together.

Yikes. That’s ugly. Don’t know if was the angle or what, looked like it started to telescope just before the slide.

Nice load. Reclaimed lumber is expensive. Shouldn't have needed to drop the tags though...

Should be good because those units are under 6ft. Except WA. They want a strap over the bottom two units and seem to ignore the part where it says “or 6ft, whichever is greater”.

All this time, I thought you pulled a flatbed, now I find out you’re a van hauler.
