There's a few, purple and orange- 6.5, 5.5 off-track so mule or A-trains. Around the mills and south of Grangeville on 95. I've heard there's 'a guy' that rolled out of the quarry scaled 133 on 8, just a rumor though I would never do something like that. Right? State says it's up to the county on county roads [shrugs shoulders].......

Don't you pull tanker? Have the shop weld in 30 or so feet extend the reach!

95 is good after they fixed some bridges. Lott runs up to Grangeville with their big flatbed doubles.

Normally I agree with your POV @Long FLD , but I have to agree with @Tb0n3 , because the regulations do require at the least, one strap per pallet pair (side by side) per the length/weight requirements of strapping/securement. Usually 2 in the front if it's not abutting a header board (the penalty strap). Since most pallets hauling that kind of cargo falls within the 5' length requirement for at least one strap, that's what is required. 2 front, 1 per pallet (double if the pair of pallets are over 1001 lbs), all the way to the back, where I usually put 2 on the rear pallet for the same reason I put two on the front. Inertia protection. I also put one chain front and back to keep the pallets from sliding, since we didn't carry friction mats. Putting straps on, is our job, which is why after the first time I came close to running out of company supplied straps and winches, I invested in my own...so I didn't run into that problem of meeting requirements for load securement.

I’m well aware of the requirements, hauled plenty of lumber loads where I used all 20 winches on the trailer. I also know what I and a lot of others did when we didn’t want to throw a bunch of 30ft straps over palletized stuff that was going to be tarped. I know it didn’t meet requirements but one could also argue that a strap over every other pallet and nice tight tarp job could be more secure than some guy from back east with 14ft of strap would around his winch because he throws the hook first.
