Yeah, glad I could my exp too, what people posting about Heartland being mean and evil is pretty accurate.

 

Ya I was kinda thinking the same thing. It might be time to put out feelers.

 

Hold off at least a year. It won't change that quick. I could be wrong. But I hope I'm not.

 

Holding off a year is good advice. My guess is "major" changes won't happen for 3-5 years; that, of course, depends on how an individual or company defines 'major.' Heartland's Twitter page says "We're not ready yet, but soon we will open all our terminals, truck washes, lounges, and fuel for @Gordon_Trucking drivers to use." The changes will come incrementally and in a controlled fashion.

 

I want to say my heart goes out to you drivers who have been treated unfairly. I applied and after reading these post I won't EVER call them back not even for a glass of water! Its really tragic the way we are in fact treated and I got a feeling that he++ will be busting loose at the seams with CEO's and DM's of large trucking companies if that hot day comes and all is melted away....

I really wonder if these people sleep at night and or can shave themselves in the mirror in the mornings without seeing a horrific image staring back at them???

This throw this person or that person under the bus seems to be a path our country is heading down at warp speed I might add and it seems to extend into everyone's life from the boardroom to the bedroom! From schoolhouse to the church house will it ever end??? Sometimes I feel a tear rolling down my cheek because of the way we are treated and no one seems to care. We even so much as whisper of a shut shutdown everyone in in the business community and congress including their dead grandmother's would raise he++ and would try to find ways to minimize the impact including shoving national guard members into each and every truck if not tell the guard to go and get some illegals.

Suffer in silence is not the way to go people! My motto is take these people down with us! "If I'm going to he++ I'm taking you with me" should be our slogan in any up coming strike. No one feels our pain but us but should we open the pit of the abyss and force the memebers of our elected branches of government and the public smell the stinch this would stop in less than 3 days as a team of lawyers would scramble to put together laws to protect us from abuse from corporations AND the government (Which by the way are one in the same but just to be politically correct sake I split the two) and thus we would go down in the history books along with others who beared sharp teeth and said "Enough or else!"

In the meantime tell everyone the truth and let's all do the owners of these corporations the favor they wanted the governemt to do but we do it on steroids!!! The message is "Stay away from trucking NO money NO rights!!!" Put it on stickers put em up in your favorite place on T-Shirts wear it proudly for all to see is. Fliers everywhere especially around the beltway and around the DOT in DC where legally possible should be how we attack those in the wallet who have attacked us!!!

Several packs of paper a copy machine cheap ink vs how much we WILL lose this year due to head-money games is cheap vs what we all stand to gain in terms of freedom respect and the excuses of we just can't pay the driver would fade into the history books.

The horrible working conditions we put up with must be exposed along with the vermin who exploit us both in goverment and in the working world. The political ripple effect would be topple many for years to come and put the fear of God into these people.

Ok I'm gonna come down from my high horse for now but next month on Jimmy's birthday look out for my flyiers this has to stop!
