It seems that every single trucking company that offers a training program is hated immensely around here. Every thread I find about a company, there are so many people saying, "Stay far AWAY from Company X because they're evil and they'll steal your children and eat your soul!"
The law of averages and statistics dictates that they ALL cannot possibly be THAT bad.
So naturally this leads me to the obvious question - which trucking company with a training program is the least evil of them all?

it all boils down to different strokes for different folks everyone is different in what they want from a company what people seem to forget is that a training company is just that a training company not a company to retire with but at the same time that may work for some and not for others.
as for your question i dont think anyone can answer that for you. i believe the only way ur gonna figure out what u want is to do the research and see what ur looking to get out of said company and if they will help u make ur dream a reality. just remember if u wanna get on with a training company though and u dont have any experience expect to be treated like a rookie and nothing more ur in training why should u be treated like royalty -
swift has been great for and to me thus far. im writing about it in the review area. itscalled chronicles of a swift trainee

Let's talk about this for a second. The OP wants to know the "least evil" company. Well, think about it. You're a newbie that wants to be trained, so you hire on with a company and do, in fact, get trained. If you end up being trained, then the question is, "did I survive the training and am I able to advance further in this biz"? What does it matter if the training period was sweet or sour ? You got your training, right ? I see all kinds of complaints on here from the bus ride to a lousy motel to being talked down to to a personality conflict with your trainer to not really getting 100% from the trainer to not getting home for awhile to sitting in BFE too long etc etc etc. You want training, hire on, deal with any curveballs and move on. Just think of it as a"boot camp" adventure for 6 weeks. You can do it !

Fed ex and con way has training programs. Not sure about your area but that's a better option than a over the road company.
