Sorry I know this gets tiresome but I need some pricing opinions. I'm headed down to the dealer with my fine tooth comb tomorrow and before I start digging in too deep I'm curious if $50000 with 2yr/200k warranty on engine is a little steep for the truck. So what I know so far is the dealer doesn't have the maintenance records so I will have to hunt down the previous owner/s. From what I can tell the exterior is in perfect condition and the interior aside from a little aging in the vinyl(flaking) is in good condition. Is it ready for a retirement home or could I probably get a few good years out of it before it blows up? I would go the route of a fleet truck but they're like rental cars and I know what I do to a fleet truck. Let the flaming commence :biggrin_2559:

It will be pulling 53' reefers through the southeast and Midwest loaded anywhere from 75-80 on a regular basis with some minor hills and the occasional monteagle run.

I think $50k is definitely a little steep if it has 800k miles on it

Yeah its a lil steep, they expect you to haggle them down a bit. Prolly not too bad for a W9 in good shape. Due for a new harmonic damper, esp if if hasn't been done before

    Nighthawk325 Thanks this.

800,000 miles too high it is worn out already, due for a in frame within a year most likely. Run this dog is howling at the moon........ 375,000 to 450,000 max on the mileage. Keep lookin.

you don't say what year it is. but i'm guessing it's too old to be worth that kind of money.

engines are warrenteed up to 1 million miles. (that's the impression i got from cummins).

you defenitly won't be having any warranty done by the dealer selling you that mighty fine rig.

    Nighthawk325 Thanks this.

you can go to paccar and buy a 09 kw or pete with half the mileage for that kind of money. half the miles means more miles left on factory warranty also.

you might also look at arrow financial.
