I would save up the money and buy a truck that is yours. If things go bad, you can remove the sign on the door and put up another one and be trucking. I personally have my own plates, pay my own 2290, have separate BT & Collision. The only thing I take form the company is a fuel card, their permits and OCAC, nothing else. I am seriously thinking of getting my own fuel card also, just in case.

If they aren't passing along fuel discounts, it is in your interest to get a fuel card.
The risk is you do a bunch of work and put your own money out for fuel then they close the doors. Now you are out your a/r as well as a bunch of spent money in fuel.

That's what I've done, got my own plates and insurance. I've always paid my own 2290.

Schneider Finance will lease you a truck you don’t have to haul for them. I get my truck from them ran for them 15 months. Then to a small Reefer company for 7 months to learn Reefer then my own Authority. Schneider always and still is supportive. There lease is expensive but they will make sure your in business. Best of Luck

What's the name of the company? From what it sounds like this is the company I'm looking for.
