The only reason why I used Werner was because they are the only company that I know for sure that runs e-logs. No other reason. The reason why I didn't mention the company that I work for is because it had to do with the trainer, not the company. No reason to slander them. Hell, the trainer probably got fired.

:biggrin_25513: Yeah, especially if you told the company "he had a twitch" and brought up cocaine and meth.

Well hell. Why don't we just take the OP out and HANG him? I mean after all, he did what he thought was best at the time, but some of us think he was wrong. So lets just put him out of his misery. LIGHTEN UP A BIT FOLKS! Have you never been in a position where you weren't sure what you should do?

So what your saying is that every trainer out there is a demonic beast from the far depths of hell and all they want you to do is kill someone and yourself all while runnin' down the road hangin' out the window yelling racial slurs at every other driver on the road and breaking every law in the book!

    Hmmm...seems like fun!

    P.S. Longest sentence ever!

Just basically all the people that have nothing but negative feedback on all thier trainers.

I'm not saying that all of them are angels and there are some bad seeds. But They can't all be that bad, can they? I haven't seen many positive posts on here about trainers is all!

    Big Don Thanks this.

i read it as the o/p was driving and swerving while the trainer slept in the bunk
he did what he felt was right--if that works for him great--
could have just made it easier and just requested a different trainer instead of running to safety--stuff like that usually doesnt go over to good at with other company drivers

BUT--i have asked 3 times why he didnt sleep when the trainer was driving and he doesnt give a responce
2 guys in one truck---i dont care if you are training--if you are tired sleep

i think the reason there are so many bad comments about trainers --is that the new guy gets out of school and in with a trainer and finds out what the job is like and just what it entails---they leave a lot of that out in school
if you can get a trainer and a company that runs by the book and doesnt run it like a team truck--great--that is the way it should be--actual training---but we all know that seldoms happens--usually you are just thrown to the wolves
i suppose once everybody has eobr's a lot of things will change--but until then there are still alot of companys that want you to run your butt off--and if you only run legal you dont get the trips and miles
i dont condone running illegal---but i honestely think that the vast majority of drivers have at one time had to do it---running t/l its sometimes easier to keep a straight book--but if you run ltl --one slow drop can set you back for a couple days if your appts are tight

I see it as another challenge in life! Sure my first job isn't gonna be the best but it's a start. My trainer might be a complete, well you know. But if he doesn't put my life at risk I'll be fine! I'm not a complainer and I'm not a kiss #####, but like I said as long as I'm safe and get through training then great! I have a friend who as been trucking for 35 years now and complains about it everyday, but he says it's a challenge and he was up for it. I know what I'm getting myself into. If I can't cut it I'll find out sooner rather then latter. But I never give up!

Comparitively speaking you dont see a whole lot of positive info about trucking on the board either.

Stats show that if you are happy about something, someone, a service done, etc...you are likely to tell 3 people.

If you are dissatisfied, upset or feel you were the mistreated victim, you are likely to tell about 9 people.

Big Don and mayoman69 Thank this.
