What are the worst roads in the winter in the mountains?

Give me your stories of bad roads?

    I am here to learn.

What are the worst roads? Bumpy ones. Generally found in southern Louisiana.

Pennsylvania is notorious for being pothole central. I grew up there and some of the same potholes that were there when I was a kid in the '60s and '70s still exist. Some get that cheap tar filling-patch that lasts a few months or until the next winter, but they're still there and some are still wide open. Crooked politicians have been filling their pockets there since longer than I can remember.

Pennsylvania is pretty bad imo, I remember just the other week following pa146 iirc and having to go off onto a road that was more crumbled asphalt with some gravel on top because the bridge is just gone apparently, seems a bit sketchy.

West Virginia has some pretty wicked roads in the winter, unlike well known roads like donners pass, WV doeant really have the budget to do much as far as keeping things safe over the entire state.

Lots of Midwestern states have large amounts of dirt roads though, so I am not sure how fair the comparisons are.
