I hear ya. I see that other fellas point about drying time. It can be a problem if you pull a dry van. Just set the reefer on about 36. It will dry in 30 minutes.

When guards do not have the info and dock personnel play stupid irritates me to no end....what exactly will I do with 44K pounds of salt. Recently had a guard / dock knock on me over the seal not being on the trailer doors over a load of plastic bottles...If I had a reason to keep 6,000 plastic Iced Tea bottles I may have thought about it however wtf am I going to do with them? It was your shipper that didnt attach the seal in the first place??

 

Actually, it was mostly uneventful. In and out of there in record time. They didn't say anything about the trailer smelling like pizza, but then, with a gasoline refinery\tank farm next door, ya can't smell anything after a while anyway.

 

Get ready to spend a min. of 6 hours to get loaded or unloaded at this place

 

They are not interested in a seal because they think you might have stolen a few bottles, they want it sealed because if the bottles are for food products they want to make sure the load wasn't tampered with. It is for the integrity of food grade products. If someone contaminates the bottles, then their product becomes contaminated.

Ya thats right on the bottles but at some of the grocery warehouses they treat truck drivers like brain dead sub human rejects. Ok maybe some are but don't just treat everyone that way.

Wal-Mart DC's are horrible. Downloading warehouse labour onto drivers is BS.

Next is Air Canada at Pearson airport

 

Well I do not have to Worry about WAL MART DCS, I wont even shop at Walmart, I will buy from a Haji Mart before I go into WAL MART. Simply Due to the WAY they Treat Drivers, and on small incident at a DC, since there is some things going on with that 5 years later I am not supposed to discuss the details lol. But I can say this There ain't no dang Fence, or gate that any consignor can close and Tell any driver he can not leave, especially a pissed of truck driver who has been sitting for 18 hours after his scheduled Delivery time, And Yes I called and confirmed, After 18 hours, them MRE type meals are not worth a HOOT. Informed dispatch, called the shipper, called the WALLY World Buyer, They all told me to Leave and that they would deal with the Manager or the DC, I simply wanted ot eat shower, Guard refused to let me out, Manager snatched my door open. All I will say about that is It did not go over real well.
