Home depots suck only have a 4 hrs window to drop off. If you miss it then got to wait to the next day.

Not exactly a fan of Stop N' Shop Freetown in Assonet MA. Slow, totally screwed-up. And the local drivers are like flys at a picnic... can't git rid of them - they're always hanging out at the local (very limited parking) truck service plazas off of I495.

    Big Al,

Thanks for the input on the seals / food grade comments. Guess I never thought about it that way.

    Thanks!

I picked up frozen veggies once at a warehouse in Rochester, MN. Can't remember the name off hand. Nice place but i swear it was being run by a bunch of clowns. No one knew where i was to go. I even had the loading dock # on my paper work. They still had me running around for like 4 hrs. Then i got loaded at the dock on my paper work. Some times i think these places do this to give us a hard time and watch us run around.

Sam's Club/Walmart DC's. I've never seen a more uptight company with uptight policies and uptight workers.

    Relax, por favor!

i think the walmart DCs keep us on purpose to actually save money. Using us as temporary storage and paying the measly detention pay is cheaper then expanding their warehouse/freezers. $240 per truck a day is far cheaper than spending hundreds of thousands on space that may not be needed when the seasons change. If all carriers raise their detention fees to $100/hr then i will be in and out of those walmart DCs in an hour. :biggrin_2559:

One driver I was talking to was at one of those for 2 days with ice cream and they just came out to check the temp every hour or two. The only reason I can see them doing that is because they dont have room in the freezer.
