There are two things funny about this, one, nobody in Oregon should ever say anything about how people drive, and two, three days after that, they couldn't figure out how to do RMA's.

It is wrong but how many times have you paid an outrageous lumper fee, which truckers shouldn't have to do in the first place. (THAT IS WRONG and it goes on continuously) $60.00 is not bad, try $300

 

IM a new driver, but made it through... BJ's in Paramus,nj is one bad stop. getting in is fine. its getting out thats tough. after u deliver, u follow the building around, but then come to a turn. yellow pole on right side and rock wall on left. very tight. so watch out but good luck cuz thats a tough one-

 

Today my co had me pick up the last and final trailer at a USPS in Seattle WA, we were shuttleing all of the usps trailers to an old yard in Tacoma WA, they closed the whole facility out. It was kind of weird because you could still make out the faint lettering on the wall that read United States Post Office.

 

The worst receiver ever... Del Monte, Topeka, KS. I've waited close to 20 hours to unload and I've known many a Driver to cuss after waiting all night to unload the following morning. There are no stores nearby so you better have a can of Strongheart and some cold instant coffee. Oh yeah, one of the employees must be off his rocker and every Driver that delivers there has to tolerate him sooner or later. Good thing if you have a TV then there are a few stations. I actually quit a job outright becasue of this s..thole.

 

All of the C & S wearhouses are horrable.

They are all the same.

You are never out of there in less than 4-6 hours.

and you have to pay a lumper.

I hate lumpers!!


how come every time you have to pay a lumper, it takes them 3 times as long to unload you?

 

Lumpers. Well, I suppose that's simply because they can. That's one of the reasons I hate grocery warehouses and of course some Walmart DC's. Not necessarily having to pay a lumper ... I actually hate unloading trucks, but the wait times.

One guy at Delmonte in Dallas tried to tell me it was because they were loading out going trailers at the same time and didn't have room for my entire load. (9 hour unload on that one). I simply told him that I didn't believe that my company would appreciate their using my trailer as a free extension to their warehouse. If that's the case then why refrigerate the building.

Who knows what the real story is ... I suspect it's some bureaucratic thing or other.

 

Went there four times in a row, shortest time I had for a load was 4.5 hours, longest was 16.5 hours. NEVER got a legal trailer, they were always heavy on the drives, and they will not rework the load once you pull away from the dock. If you want it loaded the correct way it will cost you out of pocket!! Seems weird cause I have loaded out of a bunch of Miller/Coors plants and never had a problem with any of the other ones, just Dallas. Needless to say I will never go back to that plant.

As a side note I never had a problem with Morton, you just have to get your apt times when second shift is on (think they start at 2-3pm) and I have been to them a bunch of times.
