I have found 2 new worst shippers: 1.Smithfield Tar Heel, NC. It takes longer to get bills (6-8 hrs) than to get loaded (1.5hrs-3hrs). You can expect to get a 10 hr break here. 2. Keystone Bakerhill,AL. Arrived at 0830 for a 0900 apt. As of 2000, after several check-ins, haven t got a dock assignment yet. If you ever get stuck going to one of these places, make sure your truck is well stocked

How could I forget Family Dollar. Especially the ones in Charlotte, NC and West Memphis, AR. Both take about 8 to 10 hrs to live unload. The last time in Charlotte they let drivers stay in truck. West Memphis, you had to turn in your keys and wait in the break room while they unloaded.

I love Tyson in Russellville, AR. Arrived at 9pm to drop an empty, early pickup on my load wasnt until 7:30 the next morning and drop dead was sometime the day after that. My load was already in a door when I got there and was told I could park infront of it and someone would let me know when I could hook to it. Got a good sleep when I finally got the knock, collected my bills and shipping let me finish my 10 parked in the staging area. Plus they have a drivers lounge with wifi and showers and have no problem with bobtails overnighting.

WALmart (noones shocked eh) dc in i think georgia. Most dc's seemed to be drop and hook and great but this was live. Appt time 4am. I show up at 6pm the night before and check with the guard he says show up at appt time. Fine. I sleep 2 miles down the road, wake up at 230 show up at the gate at 3:30. Guard says go back come back at your appointment time. I do and LITERALLY pull into the guard shack at exactly 4:00 am. 10 minutes later im at the desk they say hit door x, unhook your trailer and pull forward a few feet then come back. I do.. it's 4:30 plus now. Walk in they say they'll start unnloading you in a few.. we need a comcheck for $260(???????????) or cash (WTF seriously i need to be a lumper). They say sign this paper . I ask why .. she says "You were late". I blacked out there and deleted that part from my memory. It basicallly went something like "Ill get your comcheck but #### you if you think im signing anything. are you refusing the load". Took them their ridiculous comcheck.. noticed they have a white guy with a "lumper business" paying mexican guys #### wages to do the unload. Get out of there and tell my dispatcher that will be the last wlamart i do period that isnt drop and hook.
Also: ANY food warehouse. $$$$$ lumper fees, some actually want cash. Ungodly long load times. Walking from 0degrees to 80 degrees to rainin 50 degrees by your truck 4 or 5 times to get it done.
I no longer do anything related to groceries or walmart screw them. -
Affiliated Foods in Elwood, KS. I had a 4am drop got up at 230 and arrived at 330. Todd the lumper manager or whatever his official title is, he is terrible. I spent almost 2 hours after being empty on him. Then he refuses the comcheck cause he claims is was incorrect. Went to truck to get a new one, came back and he was gone again. All in all, almost 3 hours empty waiting on him so I could get my paperwork and leave. I was gonna get to have a good nap before dispatch got back in the office but Todd ruined that for me.
Other workers there told me he is crap to all drivers and he causes them trouble not to mention he is a smart a$z to everyone.
