Now that's a super trucker! If you really did all that, I'm real glad for ya. I have no respect for Walmart. I have a few stories of my own in various types of situations for delivering to either the DC, one of their job sites with a flatbed load of steel and when I used to deliver flowers & plants in a reefer. Walmart has no respect for tuckers or any of their vendors that supply them. If I had a product that they wanted, I would just lead them on while they drew up their contract until we got to the dotted line, and then I'd tell them I changed my mind - I wouldn't sell them anything.

...and for anyone who is in and out of a Walmart DC regularly, how much does Walmart charge to unload? $60? Makes you wonder if that's just not another "trucker story."

That post was from 2006, which is the year I got my CDL. At that time, Wal-Mart DC's charged based on what the load was, and it would vary. I can remember a few $200 lumper checks at Wal-Mart. It wasn't until i had my CDL for about 2 years that they switched to a flat $50 fee.

OK, I have a new one. Peyton in Cleveland TN. 18:30 delivery appointment. They took the first pallet out at 19:00 and I got out at 02:15. The woman in receiving, who never once looked at me in three conversations told me she would not put in and out times on the bill as they are a "no detention" facility. Last time I will ever be going there.
