The worst thing about trucking IMO

Wait ......... there are bad things about trucking???? When did this happen and why am I the last to find out?

 

Well, I guess if anybody needs whining lessons, we know where to go. Don't understand the reason for you to start this thread, unless you're trying to tell us all what lousy careers we're in. Remember, a lot of us really do love trucking. Those of you who don't can go do something else. Nobody forced you to get behind the wheel. The door opens just as good for climbing out of the truck as it does for getting in. Enjoy your next career.

I thought the worst thing is when you park, and there is all kinds of room to get out of the parking space. You even say even if they double and tripple park I'll have room to get out. Then you wake up and hour or so before you have to leave and there's a England truck 20 feet in front of your truck and everybody else's truck. Not only did they double and triple park they made it 6 wide.

HOW THE SAM HILL ARE THOSE WHO PARKED LEGAL SUPPOSE TO GET OUT NOW? I'M SO SICK OF THESE COTTON PICKIN STEERING WHEEL HOLDERS WHO COULDN'T THINK THERE WAY OUT OF A MAZE WITH NO WALLS. WHO COULD CARE LESS ABOUT OTHERS. WHO CAN'T TALK ON THE PHONE WITHOUT A HEADSET. WHO THINK TRUCKING IS SOME CHEAP WAY TO SEE THE COUNTRY, AND GET RICH. WHO FILL TRUCKING LOUNGES AND TRUCKS STOP EVERYWHERE WITH THEIR COMPLAINING ABOUT THINGS THAT THEY KNEW THE COMPANY DID BEFORE THEY EVEN SIGNED UP. ex. (Company say's you average 2500 miles a week. Now you mad at the company because you need 3500 miles a week to live off of and all you get is 2500 miles a week.) WHAT THE SAM HILL, GOOBER SMOOTCHIN, TESTOSTERONE LACKING, I DON'T GOT MY PANNIES ON EVERY 5 MINUTES ON THE CB HAS THIS INDUSTRY COME TO.

If you want to see the country get an RV, VAN, 4 WHEELER, HITCH HIKE, but please stay out of my way. I HAVE WHITE LINE FEVER AND IF I DON'T GET THE WIND BLOWING THROUGH THE TWO OR 3 HAIRS THAT ARE LEFT ON MY HEAD. Tell my kiddo's that daddy loved them. but PAPA WAS A ROLLING STONE. Ok so what was I talking about again? Anyway WAKE UP AMERICA!!! PITTS OFF

I understand where the OP is coming from. Tries like all get out, to do everything he is suppose to but, as soon as he does one little thing wrong, he gets busted!.. Believe me, I know what that is all about. I doubt the OP tries to be perfect but it does seem this industry wants all of us to be, perfect. We all know, that is not going to happen and can never happen. I believe the OP was just venting and in his mind, he didn't deserve to be chewed out by anyone for passing a car, when he is safe 99% of the time.

Always cracks me up when someone complains about someone complaining.... Go ahead an vent driver, I hear ya...

Well now, wouldn't that possibly depend on road and traffic conditions? Maybe just a little?

And so the poor guy comes on here to vent a bit and what happens? He gets chewed out SOME MORE! Sometimes life just ain't fair. . .

Whats the deal with people getting into trucking to "see the country"? havent you ever heard of an RV ?
