We get more chrome, make more money because we have more chrome and then we buy more chrome with the extra money we make from having more chrome.I love trucking!

but do you get the same rate for stainless?
it lasts longer so actually ,you should get more per mile -
I, by no means, plan on buying new. Never have, even with personal vehicles because the idea of buying something that's going to be worth 30% less the moment I drive it off the lot makes entirely no sense to me.
This thread started because as i sift through truck paper I have to skip ahead a few pages to the general listings because dealerships save the premium ones for the $120,000 dollar slabs.
I have chosen the $40-50k range not so much based upon my budget, but that's where the "decent" trucks generally fall in. Anything less and I feel that I'm either going to get a truck on the brink of overhaul, or a P.O.S. A lot of trucks in this range generally come with somewhat of a warranty or buyers assurance.
I hear many times over that the older trucks are better than the newer ones (ie. mpg, power, service life). But in 10 years when those guys are driving the truck that I'm buying now, we'll all hear the same thing about the new trucks of that time.
Of course, I'm sure I just started a whole new controversy...
