I think I could probably pull off a crappy profit like maybe a dollar a mile on that deal, at least in the summer and to Anchorage or Fairbanks on normal well maintained roads. Make it 80 cents a mile if I don't get a back haul and end up bumbling my way down to British Columbia empty. But that's still making a couple of grand a week instead of losing the same on a non trucking vacation. Plus, there's something about combining Fun and Profit that my cheap yet adventurous self really likes...
Anyway, I will update y'all in a couple of months when I actually do this thing.
