No more Swift, Marten or any other mega. Walmart is taking over the entire thing by themselves. I didn't really think much of it, but I keep hearing about it.

I heard down in the Walmart Opelika, Alabama DC, swift corporate from Arizona is coming down to talk with all of the swift drivers at the end of the month about any concerns that they have. (Whatever that means)

Someone started a rumor and swift is trying to keep drivers in those positions since some will believe it and go somewhere else ahead of being laif off or told you are going otr. Walmart is too big and moves too much freight to do it all in house it wont happen

There is no way they could cover all that freight..... Maybe take all store deliveries in house. But would need more reliance on vendors such as bread etc

I know that Walmart booted Schneider out of Washington Court House OH and went on a hiring blitz to make up for it. Took over all deliveries….

The same thing is happening right now to the Schneider drivers on the Walmart account in Cleburne TX. I’ve been told Walmart is offering them the opportunity to transfer to their private fleet doing the same job.

Changing the color of the truck doesn't make a better driver.

No, but it does give them more control. I would assume they’re also still subject to Walmarts hiring criteria but I don’t know for certain.
