When is the last time you have called on a load? You get a text with offer. Your biggest issue is it may be 6 pallets rather than 4 increasing your weight to 6k lbs.![]()

I assume you missed the sarcasm in my post.
-
Um.....I hope this was pure sarcasm!
I don't want a law saying they have to do anything. I just wish it was common practice to mention what the product is. I don't see how it's in the brokers best interest to NOT put "lumber" "coils" "pallets" in the description. Why would you want to answer the phone for people who have no interest in hauling a product.dairyman Thanks this. -
I don't care what the broker gets as long as I make the money I want on a load.....
Dice1, Freightlinerbob, VinceL and 8 others Thank this. -
Yeah for the time being sure is nice. Always have loadboard land in the back of my mind though figured I would post my support for something that'd I'd like to see and yet we all know will never happen anyways.
BigBadBill Thanks this. -
Apparently I did. My bad.
-
I don't want them to post a rate because I am the one who gives the rate I will charge for the service I provide.
The customer should never tell you what they will pay before you give the rate you will charge for your service you provide.
Carriers should always set the rates and not the brokers or shippers! -
I knew it was too good to be true. Thank you for making this thread like all the others on this site. Everybody was in agreement till you chimed in.....we almost had a catastrophe on our hands there
-
there should be a law that all the collected fsc be passed on to the one whom buys the fuel !
-
There should be a law that one should know how to run a business before they can get Carrier Authority.
The Carrier should set the rates and even negoiate all FSC rates charged to shippers/brokers.
If you are letting the broker/shipper tell you what you should charge for the service you provide, then you have a very poor business plan and are doomed to fail.
This is no different than Factoring your AR that is a very poor business plan with huge red flag that even the bank sees you as a credit risk by not extending credit to you because they already see you have a very poor business plan that is doomed to fail.chalupa, grizzly, Grumman and 1 other person Thank this.
