    Engines usually go 40k hours, compressor? It all depends but they are expected to only last 15-20k.

    My 92 TK just went 44k hours and blew the compressor bad taking out the evaporator with it do to chunks. So here i sit in phoenix, waiting on my $6k bill.

    I put one in 2 years ago in this unit when i first got it.

    Sorry for the confusion, i have 44k TOTAL hours on this unit not compressor hours.
