@Chinatown.....it's just a bunch of nothing. Perhaps you could provide us with the Cliff Notes version. I have a feeling that my degree is one of them. (Sociology)
Sad that Physics majors can't seem to find employment. I thought aerospace engineers were in demand. The rest of those majors are pretty useless. I'm surprised dance majors didn't make the list.
AI is changing the jobs market at a rapid pace. Most articles on jobs are becoming obsolete as quickly as they're published, due to AI.
Nearly half of US companies intend to eliminate bachelor's degree requirements for some job positions next year.
That's the way it should be. Schools should be teaching skills rather than awarding a piece of paper after you've sat through the required number of classes. A lot of jobs don't require 4 years of school and the huge debt that goes along with it.
Looking back on my life, still zero regrets spending my money on tools over getting a degree. I doubt AI and robots will take over jobs in the trades. At least not in my working lifetime anyways.
I watched a video recently where a young woman was venting about how hard it is to survive these days even with her advanced degree and job. Then she mentioned her salary. The typical labourer around here makes as much or more than her and you don't even need a highschool education for that.
Im with ya , but the new folks dont want bloody knuckles , burnt/froze hands covered in grease or #### or work 16hrs regularly even if youre pulling down a nice 6 fig salary.
