i keep getting sent loads to accept/reject that have nonsense pickup and delivery times. Usually the pickup time will be before I'm even done with my current load.
But this time they sent me a load that has to be picked up and delivered yesterday. So it's already late. I don't get it. If it's 12/25, why does it say pickup on 12/23 and deliver by 12/24?
Can anyone shed light on this. I don't get it. I don't want to accept a load and get screwed over.
P.s this feels like the kind of thing a big company would pull. They say "it's ok don't worry about it" but 2 weeks later some hr guy will be like "did you read the load acceptance policy, you are responsible by law etc etc"
These load Times don't make sense to me

When you get one of those then just say no and put in the time that you can pick up the load and then deliver it on MAC 9. Then the system will send it back to you with the new times. I will bet that they are pre loaded trailers that are sitting and the system knows this. Like the one that I am on. T-called in Memphis. Showed picking up on the 23 and then t-call in Nogales on the 23rd and a final on the 27th.

Check the details, see if there is a note saying "preloaded," or if a window is specified.

Steel Dragon is right.
The planners already know that the times are bogus, but they can't always change the times in the system.
If you turn it down you may be waiting for some time. And once you turn down a load there can be no layover pay.
When you pick up the load do the loaded call and then a mac 22 with the time that you will be delivering.
In the 'reason' field just say 'eta update based on my dispatch and pick up times'.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -

That chinese freight has a short shelf life?

CSR will contact the customer and get a new delivery appointment based on the drivers' estimate of when the load will deliver.
Simple.
Maybe your company doesn't do it that way?
But that is how I have experienced things. -
