Like I said, that has been my experience with Swift.
This time of year things get a bit crazy.
The freight is slower, but the backups are higher. It makes for a hard time for everyone.
These load Times don't make sense to me

Can't he just counter the load with proper times??
I don't have the option to do anything but accept on JIT.
BUT I remember my trainer advising me to never turn down a load, always counter instead with your stipulations. -
My trainer advised even if it is ridiculous... Load going east and your trying to get west for home time.
Counter the load with the condition to Tcall to a west bound terminal.
That way you don't get the load, and also don't get the point for declined load. -
That only works if there are the proper windows of time built into the load.
If it is already late, countering it with new times will only get it removed from you.
If it is a load that you really don't want, then it's fine.
But if it is a decent load your only choice is to accept it as is and then send the mac 22.
There won't be a service failure in such cases because the planners already know it is late. They just want someone to take it.MM3Deg Thanks this. -
Did you try calling dispatch?
-
You always except the load.
If your late, through no fault of your own,its easy to prove, especially with E logs.
The dispatchers just want the load, off the board, and asigned to your truck.
Play the game. -
Nope , you accept the load and you're late you own it. Accept the load and adjust the delivery time as Moose explained and Swift owns the late delivery , adjusts it with the customer and the driver is covered .
There is a system in place to deal with the impossibility the system comes up with . Learn the system so you can work the system .inkeper, Moosetek13 and MysticHZ Thank this. -
That's one good thing about Swift.
The system is pretty easy to work.inkeper Thanks this.
