I always thought it was a good idea to recheck it when you stop throughout the day also. And with the escort in the seat if he’s a big boy! Haha.

yes I do same thing this was roughly 2 hours into the journey. We know he hit it because it broke the top part of his pole off. I had him escort me to the interstate (this happened on a back road) and customer made the call to return unit back to shipper. Let escort go and waited 7 days for return permits.

I wasn’t dinged or anything because sheriff came out and after surveying everything says the cable company has been doing work there recently and let a line sag....

wow deff the long way. They send you up 14 out of Elmira it looks like. That's a nice ride through wine country tho.

I had messed up routing lots of times moving frac pumps around pa/wv/oh. Lots of times they'd route us on the 2 lanes like us22 in sw Ohio and pa instead of running 77, 70, 79

I picked up a pump one time at cat next to the petro in Wilkes Barre. Heading to Schlumberger's yard in Denton TX. Instead of routing me down 81-40 they sent me clear out to ST Louis and down 44. Not a single coop was open on the way, that was surprising

After this trip I'm considering getting my own high pole for the front of my truck to check the height on lines and such after my lead calls out a hit, or in instances like last week going through watkins glen and grabbing a line that my lead never mentioned he touched. We have another owner op that does this. He keeps his lead 6 inches over his permit height like supposed to but puts his own pole up right at his permit height and when in questionable situations helps him to know exactly if he can clear it without having to commit fully. Right now a 23ft wonder pole is less than $200 and comes with all the hardware and 2 tips. Making a holder wouldn't be an issue.

If it pays by the mile and you bid it right who cares how many miles it is, the more the better!
Not that I like some of the highways they put you on especially Texas!
