If you're a stone cold rookie and you really believed you were getting a dedicated route that brought you home on weekends, you probably deserved to be ###### like dog in heat. Sorry, but it's true...

I wouldn't say that though because here in Ohio, near Delaware, they train and hire rookies on a home daily dedicated account. Although there isn't enough loads for the drivers as is, they keep hiring more drivers, especially new fresh out of school drivers.

If you can get an attorney to file suit, you might be able to prove fraud. If they never really had a dedicated account that they were negotiating for, or expanding an existing one near you, then you have a case. The attorney can ask for documents related to this 'dedicated account' during what's known as the 'discovery phase' of the process. If they were BSing you, they will offer a settlement very quickly.
At that point, you can choose to either settle, or talk your attorney into going to trial. It could turn into a class action and spell the end for them. -
Then the Marshall's show up,then your lawyer gtets Jimmy Hoffa to testify and then ...... Take care.Brian

Good luck with the law suit. This happens to people all over the country every week in orientation. But, sometimes the job you were trying to get got filled by another driver. Finish your training and move on. Lots of companies that will pick you up. ********remember if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is*********

I'm guessing they have an out in the part where they did offer him other employment. He chose not to accept it, it may not have been exactly the same offer, but it's a similar form of employment. Don't get me wrong I have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm just guessing.chalupa Thanks this. -

windsmith, you also havent been in this business long. whats the odds he has something in writing saying he had the dedicated account?
by the time any lawsuit of this nature would be done with he would be 5 years older.
following this logic , imagine the lawsuits over loads a broker promised and they fell thru -
