Truckers wanting more pay always makes me chuckle. Sure it takes skill to learn the ins and outs along with nerves of steel. But, to contrast, let me provide my personal experience. Long before I jumped into truck driving, I went to school for three years to become an electronics technician. This is a serious education, not just electronics, but trigonometry, chemistry, calculus and physics. This is considered a “semi-skilled” career. Want to know how much a good experienced electronics technician makes in 2020? $15-18 an hour. What I make as a trucker is double what I used to do with 50 hour work weeks and don’t forget the seasonal/economical layoffs.
They must ban "cpm" and "piecerate" pay
